Cooperly/README.md

hi! I'm void (always lowercased, prefered name), you may know me by my brand name Cooperly or CooperlyTV.

I have a little bit of knowledge in C# and Kotlin, you might recognize me for creating niche mods for various indie titles and modded game servers that really push the limits of their respective game while not requiring any client-side modifications so players can quickly hop in and have a great time.

Linux is something I'm somewhat well versed in, I can fully use and understand most modern distros from Debian to Arch (and any derivatives) and I am starting to learn and use NixOS on my primary system, I can also perform basic system administration on servers and deploy and setup most software either bare-metal, under docker (if the application supports it), or under a container/virtual machine using a hypervisor (Such as Proxmox VE).

Game Server Projects

you will most likely know me from the following:

  • Protobit
    • Modded Community Server for the video game Rust with a lot of in-house mods and quality-of-life additions.
    • Similar to Protobit Vanilla+, I primarily worked on the initial release alongside marketing, slowly shifting towards PR and being a support developer later on.
  • Protobit Vanilla+ (fka Beeper-MC)
    • NOTE: This project has been retired due to many contributors leaving for their own reasons.
    • Modded Server for the video game Minecraft that was content packed without client-mods required which isn't done often in the space, it also had a lively and active community for most of it's lifespan.
    • I was a core contributor of this project, being mostly the sole person responsible for the initial release, gameplay, and lore. I slowed down heavily on changes afterwards but still did PR.
  • Codename: Prism (Formal name pending)
    • NOTE: This project has not been released to the public, nor am I certain if it will ever come to the public.
    • Modded server for the video game Minecraft that tries to replicate V+ but on some serious steroids by ditching the Spigot API in favor of Quilt and using Polymer to create custom server-side content, offering a lot more content and lore in many more places due to being able to properly register modded blocks and entities on the server, all while still not demanding any client-side mods.
    • I am currently the only contributor on this project, currently working on gameplay and lore.
