Hi, I was told in the support portal to open a github issue regarding my problem. Here is what I sent them:
I've fresh installed the flatpak version of the app on pop os cosmic de (also a fresh install on a new ssd) thru their package manager, and I'm immediately running into two issues. One, the app freezes up completely every couple minutes and has to be force closed and reopened. Two, a vanilla install of latest minecraft will not launch. I downloaded all the recommended java versions thru the modrinth app before downloading an mc instance

The freezing doesn't seem to be time based, the app kept working while I was typing this report up and getting logs which was much longer than before, but froze once I made a couple more button presses within the app. It doesn't seem to be a specific button freezing it, so maybe somehow its just breaking after a certain number of actions?
That is exactly what I shared with support, if anything else is needed from me I have no problem sending that over.
Steps to reproduce
- Install flatpak version of modrinth app. I did so through my distro's package manager (Cosmic store in my case).
- Create new instance of vanilla minecraft latest version.
- Attempt to launch. It fails and generates a crash report.
- Additionally, the app freezes (not slows down, completely freezes), and I have to force close and reopen.
Expected behavior
An instance of latest version vanilla minecraft successfully launches. Additionally, app does not freeze occasionally.
