Bug: Opencode Desktop shows updated v1.16.2 server hosts as older release #31153

Description

After updating OpenCode CLI/TUI and the server backend to v1.16.2 on multiple OpenCode host computers, OpenCode Desktop v1.16.2 still shows those connected server hosts as running an older release.

This appears to be a stale or incorrect version-reporting issue in OpenCode Desktop for remote/connected OpenCode Server hosts. The hosts have been updated from the CLI, but Desktop continues to display outdated release information for them.

Expected behavior

OpenCode Desktop should show each connected OpenCode Server host as v1.16.2 after the host has been updated to v1.16.2.

Actual behavior

OpenCode Desktop v1.16.2 continues to show the connected server hosts as an older release, even after updating the CLI/TUI and server backend on those host machines.

OpenCode version

OpenCode Desktop v1.16.2; connected OpenCode CLI/TUI + Server backend hosts also updated to v1.16.2.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Have OpenCode Desktop connected to one or more OpenCode Server hosts.
  2. Update OpenCode on the host computers from the CLI so the TUI and Server backend are on v1.16.2.
  3. Open or refresh OpenCode Desktop v1.16.2.
  4. View the connected host/version information in Desktop.
  5. Observe that Desktop still reports the hosts as an older release.

Operating System

Multiple OpenCode host computers (macOS v26.x Tahoe; DGX-OS and Ubuntu Desktop Linux). Open Desktop (macOS v26.x Tahoe) is connected to several remote/server hosts.

Terminal

OpenCode CLI/TUI + Server backend on the host machines.
